Mahaulepu Beach : ウィキペディア英語版 | Mahaulepu Beach
Māhāulepū Beach is a beach on the southeast coast of the Hawaiian island of Kauai. The beach is separated into three different parts: Gillin's Beach, Kawailoa Bay, and Hāula Beach.〔Clark 1990, pp. 73-76.〕 The beach offers protection from the surf in parts and can be great for swimming. Fossils of extinct birds have been found in sand dunes along the shoreline, including the Kauai Stilt-owl (''Grallistrix auceps''), a flightless rail, and three species of goose,〔National Park Service 2008, pp. 12, 15, 21〕 while close to the beach is the paleontologically important Makauwahi Cave. ==Notes==
